In case this picture makes you think that Lily is trying to learn how to walk, let me correct your opinion. She is not interested in walking at all. She is almost 15 months old and truly shows no interest. Her parents think it's time, so they are trying to teach her. They even tried bribing her, but she didn't care. She is a cutie though.

I'm really struggling to get out and take pictures this week. With my mom visiting and lots of Thanksgiving stuff going on, I just haven't taken the time. However, yesterday I was driving and saw the statue at one of the roundabouts that was partially frozen, but had running water too. I thought it was really pretty, so I pulled over and took some pictures. The sky is so pretty and blue too.

Play time with the grandkids! Lily is playing with a Spiderman mask that Owen colored. Isn't she about the prettiest little baby you have ever seen? I may be bias, but I think it's true.

Hayden and Nana were playing a game and Hayden kept trying to trick Nana, but she caught on pretty quickly. I loved their facial expressions!

Owen' picture is blurry, but I couldn't get him to sit still. He wanted a picture with his super heroes, so here one is. He's such a funny kid.

Kassye and Nicholas came over, with a couple of Nicholas's friends, Kirk and Cody. I think we have known these boys forever. The four of them were being very silly, so I took a few pictures of them. Good looking bunch, right?!

It seems that I got behind a little, so I will try to catch up. My mom is here visiting, so we are spending some time with the kids and grandkids. I'm afraid the next little while will be full of these types of pictures. Good thing my grandkids are super cute!

Here is a picture of Owen and Hayden. They are great brothers.

When Lily is over with her brothers and gets tired, she likes to be close to them. It's really cute to watch.

Lily is a little slow to warm up to people, but she is loving her Nana. Here they are having a great conversation. Cute, huh?!

7/365

I went to the river yesterday, to scope out the scenery. I really like it there. It was raining though, so I couldn't stay out too long. I don't want to ruin my camera and I didn't have anyone with me to hold an umbrella. I think I got some time pictures though and I found some other places I'd like to photograph on a sunny day. What do you think?

6/365.

Today I had the privilege of hanging out with Owen and Lily while their mom and dad went to lunch and Hayden was in school. Owen wasn't in the best mood when he got here. I don't think he said one word for the first 30 minutes. So unlike him.

He let me hold him for the first 20 minutes and didn't move. Never happens. Really. I sat him in my chair and got my camera out and started taking pictures of Lily. He really likes having his picture taken, so I started snapping some of him. It took a few minutes, but finally it happened.

Here is Owen looking at me and trying not to smile. Isn't he a cutie?

Lily went over to the window and saw herself and started talking and laughing. It was super cute and funny. I have seen her look out of the window before, but never sit and talk and laugh to herself.

I really love this picture. I got her the shirt in China. I think the angel shirt is perfect for my little angel. Don't I have the cutest grandkids?!

5/365

Today was a very busy day, so I only had a few minutes to take a few pictures. I went up into the hills, by the windmills. I should have gone earlier in the day because it was sunny, but I waited. This is what I got:

As you can see, there is a little snow on the ground. I think more is on the way. We shall see.

4/365

What do you do on Sunday? Usually I go to church and then come home and just relax and hang out. Today I didn't go to church, which is fine.  I did stay in though. I was pretty excited when I opened the blinds and saw the sun!!

I have had a few (six) projects waiting for some sun to be photographed. You should have seen me running around here, trying to get all of my props and the actual projects to be photographed. By the time the sun left, I had all of my projects photographed and a great big mess. I didn't want to take the time to put things away because I didn't know how long I would have the sun. So, here are two of the pictures I took today. They will be on my other blog, Fearlessly Creative Mammas, soon. Actually, the cookies will be there tomorrow.

This one is for a guest post swap and should be on their blog this week sometime. I will have it on my blog in a couple of weeks.

3/365

Okay, I have to admit it, I didn't go out and take pictures today. It was so cold and windy that I couldn't bring myself to do it. I fear I am in deep trouble this winter if it's already too cold for me.  Having said that, I did take a couple of pictures with my phone. They aren't the best, but they are something.

This first one is a look out my door when I got up this morning. I knew it was coming, but that didn't mean I was ready. Quite frankly, it made me a little grumpy. I will have to dig out some warm clothes so I can go out and take pictures this winter.

I went to lunch with Samantha and the kids today. Lily loves avocados and beans. She was really eating those things up. She finally has a tooth poking through, so eventually she will be able to eat things with texture. Right now we are going for the soft, mushy things. This fit the bill. She also had some ground beef and rice. Isn't she a doll?  Her hand is still wrapped up, but we are hopeful it will be well enough for the bandages to be removed on Monday.

Thats it for today. Not so much, but at least I'm warm.

2/365

Today was another really overcast day, except it was super cold too. I'm not a fan. I went out this morning on the hunt for something cool to take pictures of and found this road I have never been on before. I will go there again for sure. Maybe it will be warmer next time.

I was driving down the road and saw this house that had some great settings in their front yard. I turned around and went back. I took several pictures, but I liked this one the best. I didn't want to go on their property though. When I was getting back in my truck I saw someone looking out their front window at me. They were probably trying to figure out what I was doing. I think I will go back here in the summer, when  there will probably be flowers in bloom too. Maybe the owners will be on vacation.  I really like this picture.

There was a horse farm on the same road, so I pulled over. When I first got there I saw these horses rearing up at each other. This was the only other time either of them did that while I was watching. I'm going to go back on a warmer, less windy day and stay longer and see if I can get the "perfect" picture. I like this one though.

Day 1/365

Day 1: I got up this morning and decided to take a drive before it got too sunny. I didn't need to get up early because it still isn't too sunny and it's 2:40 pm. I thought I might go into the country and take a few pictures of the cows and barns.  Turns out cows are a little skittish. I would not have thought that since they came into our camp when we were camping this summer and seemed completely unfazed by us. This guy stuck around though. Since there was a ditch between us he must not have minded that I was there. I think he really liked that long grass he was munching on.

I kept on driving and came upon this old barn and silo. I have to be honest and tell you that I have passed this place probably 500 times. It is very close to where we live and we pass it to go to the archery range. Things strike you differently when you are looking for opportunities to photograph something. Maybe that is part of the point of this whole exercise. Anyway, I really liked the way it looked and I might have trespassed to get the picture I wanted. I'm truly not sure though. Isn't it neat looking?

Did you take any pictures today? I've actually taken a few since then, but they are for Fearlessly Creative Mammas .

Project 365

Hello. If you're reading this, then I'm surprised. This is the first post on my new blog, Photography by Kathleen Clegg. If you know me than you know I love to take pictures. Well, I want to get better. Lots better. I am joining a group of ladies in what is called Project 365.

The idea is to take at least one picture, edit it and upload it every day. Then as you take more and more pictures, you get better.  I am actually 13 days late starting, so mine is really Project 352, but you get the idea. I hope you will follow along on my journey. You can get updates on what I post by adding your email address to the sidebar on the right. I have also linked up my other two blogs so that you can have access to all three very easily.

Well, that's all for now. Stay tuned for some pictures. To get us started, I am posting a picture I took in April of a monkey in the rain forest in Belize. I love this picture and the way he was looking right at me. He had just taken a potato chip right out of my hand. That has to be one of the neatest experiences of my life. So cool! What do you think of him? (Yes, I'm sure it is a him. That leaf isn't there for nothin'.)
